Amy Wilhelmus, Director

My life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I am Amy Wilhelmus, the Director and Inner City Missionary of the Moore Activity Center in Covington, Kentucky. I have been serving here since July 2000. I grew up at South Side Baptist Church, the birthplace of the Moore Activity Center. I graduated from Holmes High School in 1991, Cumberland College in 1995, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000. Between college and seminary I served as a US-2 Missionary in Binghamton, New York. I married Neil Wilhelmus in April of 2004. We were blessed with our son, Corran Wilhelmus, in January of 2008.

I believe I am exactly where God wants me. When I left Covington for college, the one place I said I did not want to serve was my hometown. However, God used each place I traveled to prepare me for what I am now doing. I love watching God at work. He is doing great things both in and through me, which I am honored to say. God has given me a great group of people who help in the ministries at the Moore Activity Center. I love the people of Covington. I love that God has a plan for my life and that I am right where I am suppose to be.
